I'm Lyndsay, 22 years old trying to change my life a pound at a time.
I started at 256lbs and have made a promise to myself to never go back there. I'm from Glasgow but currently live in Barcelona to work as an English Assistant in a school. I started with weight watchers which I did for about a year and lost 50lbs. I'm doing it on my own here in Barcelona, it's been a struggle to get started but now I feel like I'm in the zone and I want to be at goal weight for June 2014.

I’ve lost a lot of weight over the last year and a half, plus moving around a lot means I have no justification to keep all of my clothes (I have far too many!).

What exercise is your “biggest demon?” The one thing you have always wanted to do but struggled with but vow you will do someday!  

Running. I love the idea of running and I know how good it is for you. I just can’t love it. I try and try. On the treadmill I do what I can and im training for my first 5K just now so I’m pushing through. I really want to enjoy outdoor running but im always worried about the route i would take, or people looking (which I know is silly). I suppose I’m just gonna have to get out there and do it!

Sorry guys but I didnt really have any ideas, I just do your basic exercise and go to classes everyone has already heard about. I’ve had a bit of a hectic week being home for the holidays. eating out a lot, drinking a few nights and going to a BBQ tomorrow. I know I’ll take a gain next week but when I get back to Barcelona I’m going beast mode because I need to get my ass in gear and train for this 5K
It’s my first ever race, I want to be confident :)

 Have you ever been involved in a big exercise event, like a Spartan Race, Warrior Dash, Century Ride, Marathon or any other public spectacle? Do you aspire to take any of these on? (Bonus points if you register for one right now!)

I’m registered for the Colour Run (5K) in Barcelona on the 18th of May. Which means I have about a month to go. I’m really nervous, its my first race ever and I don’t really have a lot of experience running outside. I’m hoping the motivation of lots of people running together, and the whole colour thing will keep me going. I don’t care about time, how slow I go etc my only goal is to not stop or walk, I just want to keep running/jogging the whole 5K. I really need to make a sponsor form though!

Tell us about you most proud fitness accomplishment so far. Tell us about one fitness goal you are working toward.

At the moment I don’t really have a stand out moment. Generally going from zero exercise to the stage I am now is quite an achievement. At the moment I’m registered for The Colour Run on the 18th of May. Working towards running for 5K without stopping. Need to step it up when I get back to Barcelona.

Day 15 – How active are you? Share with us your typical exercise week.

Typically, when Im in Barcelona I go the gym 3/4 times a week. Tuesday after school I go to do cardio. Wednesday mornings I go to Pilates, and Thursdays vary. I alternate between going to body pump in the afternoon, or going to a cardio dance class in the evening. When I can I go to Body combat on a saturday afternoon (it’s my favourite class).

Im home for the holidays so working out is limited, shouldnt be an excuse! If the weather is nice tomorrow I’m going to go for a run/walk outside :)

I was hungover as hell and went to Dennistoun BBQ for lunch. It was awesome but aw man I ate so much :(
